We're starting up some helpful TA videos exclusively for YouTube. We've only added a few videos for testing, but will hopefully add more in due course!

Teaching Assistant Books?
Which Teaching Assistant books have you used?
I was wondering if anyone has some great suggestions on Teaching Assistant books? There are a number of great theory titles, covering the essentials for Teaching Assistants in the UK. However, if one is to complete a course, what are the best books to support learning?
The two titles I have used when supporting course material are Teena Kamen’s Teaching Assistant’s Handbooks. They really are informative and educational, as well as being easy to read and follow. The books, for Level 2 and Level 3 QCF qualifications, follow the QCF unit structure so are contemporary, compared to many TA books still referring to NVQ.
QCF qualifications have replaced NVQ, so it’s important to ensure those studying for QCF courses have the most accurate information. (read here for more information on TA courses).
